(from Jersey Coast Anglers Association January 2000 Newsletter)
January is the start of a new year for all of the recreational community to continue fighting for the protection of this resource. If you are a recreational fisherman or know one, this newsletter you are holding is one of the most important sources of up to date information on issues that concern you. We all need to join forces to get the job done. You may ask, what do you mean? What I mean is that there is a lot more people in the recreational community that need to step up to the plate and write letters and make phone calls on important issues. We as a whole should be able to get things done.
January is a big month for the Jersey Coast Anglers Association. This is the month when newly elected officers will take this association into the new millennium. Speaking about new officers, we will be accepting nominations and voting at our next regular meeting. There were some nominations brought to the floor at our last regular meeting. We also need people to chair a few openings in some of our Committees. If you are interested in any of the positions, please dont miss the next regular meeting.
We at Jersey Coast Anglers Association will be having a booth at a few upcoming shows. This is one of the ways we try to get in touch with the public to show them what Jersey Coast Anglers Association is all about. This takes manpower at the booth. So, if you are a member and can volunteer your time at any of the shows, contact the JCAA office. Listed below are the shows and dates we will be attending.
