On Sunday, November 11th we held the JCAA Sportsperson-of-the-Year dinner to honor this year’s Sportsperson-of-the-Year, Arnie Ulrich. Also being honored at the dinner were Mike and Debbie Bennett of Boating Education and Rescue (B.E.A.R.), for the JCAA Youth Education Award.
On behalf of JCAA I’d like to thank all those who attended the dinner to honor Arnie Ulrich and Mike & Debbie Bennett. I’d also like to thank Dan Miller, co-chairman of the dinner, his wife Heather, Paul & Linda Haertel for the magnificent job they did with the tricky tray items, John Toth, Don & Al Marantz, Greg Kucharewski, Frank Richetti, Bill Browne and Tom Fote. I’d also like to thank Mark Taylor who did a great job as our Master of Ceremonies again this year.
I’d also like to thank our guest speakers, Mike Pentony, Administrator for the Greater Atlantic Region for NOAA and Congressman Frank Pallone. Congressman Pallone never seems to miss our dinner and greatly supports the work that JCAA does on behalf of recreational fishermen. He supports recreational fishermen in NJ and is always there when we need him to advocate our position to the powers that be.
