The beautiful Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant will be hosting this year’s Sportsperson-of-the-Year dinner to be held on November 13, 2011. This is a wonderful evening to honor this year’s JCAA Sportsperson-of-the-Year and hear our keynote speaker talk about issues that are important to all of us. A Chinese auction, door prizes and a silent auction all make for a fun night. Tickets are $75.00 per person or $600.00 for a table of ten. Get a table of 10 together and give Dan Miller a call for tickets at (609) 641-7821. Paul Turi, co-chairman of the event, is in need of prizes for the event. If you or your club can donate something, contact Paul at (609) 660-2126 or email at pturi6@comcast.net.
Nominations for Sportsperson-of-the-Year can be sent to me at eileen-at-the-sea@comcast.net and we will also be accepting nominations from the floor at our next General Membership Meeting on October 25th. A short bio of approximately 100-150 words must accompany the nomination.
We have a number of upcoming shows this winter and we need volunteers to help man the booths on behalf of JCAA. If you are interested in helping out, contact Mark Taylor at (732) 245-9445 or email Mark at mtsport64@aol.com.
