This is the season that where everyone is getting ready for Christmas, but don’t forget that the Fishing Show season is right after that.  Jersey Coast Anglers Association will have a booth at two shows. The first will be Garden State Outdoor Sportsmen’s Show on January 11-14,2001 at Raritan Center, Edison NJ. The other would be Atlantic City International Boat Show on January 26-28. We need help to man these booths. The more people that volunteer their time the better we can use the manpower for the protection of the resources.

If you are interested in getting involved, but you don’t have a lot of time to spare become a member of a committee.  We need more dedicated people to get on these committees to lighten the load of others.  When everyone pitches in we can do a better job. So pick a committee you are interested in and let me know so JCAA can continue to grow.

This is my last president’s column because my term is up. I can’t believe that two years have past. I have learned a lot since I became involved with JCAA. The process and management of species is no easy task. I would like to thank everyone that helped and supported me along the way. I will still be active in JCAA.   I would really like to see more people get involved as I did. If you don’t do something to protect what you enjoy doing, then you can’t complain when it’s gone.
