An F ( mortality value) is given in the plans As perhaps F= 0.28 . What exactly does the value of 0.28 mean in percentage of the stock that is being removed or fished ? The table below will show that approximately 25% of the total stock is being removed by all levels of mortality (reviewed in last months newsletter)

This table should enable you to get an approximate value of what the real numbers of fish ( in percentage) insert “are that”  they are referring to in a Fisheries Management Plan(FMP).
