PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

This is a busy time of year for most folks, doing spring chores around the house, getting the boat ready for launching and maybe squeeze in some time for fishing. The crew JCAA has been doing all this and more, going to management meetings working with legislators and handling all the details that go with running a state wide fishing tournament. These folks work hard for the good of our marine resources and all they ask from you is your support and cooperation. Please take the time to make those phone calls or write those letters when we request you to do so. Your support and involvement is what makes JCAA work.
We are on the home stretch putting finishing touches on our annual Fluke Tournament. We still will need some more volunteers to help out at the Awards ceremony on June 12 and some help running the Captains meeting at the weigh stations on June 5. Please call me at home or at the office if you can help out. We have some really nice door prizes to give away at the awards ceremony but could use a few more to help top off the event. If you have any good ideas or good contacts for some additional door prizes contact Al Marantz at 732-224-9350. They dont have to be fishing related, just something worth winning.
Id like to thank Hobby Lobby Marine for all their help and support this year. They played a key role in securing our grand prize from Cobia boats and Yamaha motors. They outfitted, rigged and cleaned the boat at no charge and on top of all that they are donating one of the best door prizes for the awards ceremony, a 6 HP Mercury outboard. Obviously the Tweer brothers believe in the work that JCAA is doing and are willing to actively support us. Thanks guys!
