PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Brick Township Municipal building on Chambersbridge Rd in Brick, N.J. We have a variety of fisheries issues to discuss and need everyone’s input. Be sure to have your club delegate attend.

We have very busy agenda this month, in addition to our normal committee reports we also have our annual awards ceremonies and the High Rollers raffle drawing.

This is it! All outstanding raffle tickets must be returned at this meeting to be included in the High Rollers drawing. Al and Don Marantz will collect your tickets. The eleven winners will be drawn during our coffee break.

JCAA and the Youth Education Committee have established two annual awards to recognize contributions of individuals or organizations that work in support of goals that align with the goals of Jersey Coast Anglers. This years annual Sports Person of the Year award goes to Paul Smith in recognition of many years of dedicated work for the betterment of the sport of angling . I am honor to present this award to Paul and also to count him among my friends.

The Youth Education committee has establish an award to recognize outstanding volunteer service. This years award goes to Newark Bait & Flycasting club for their many years of running events for children to experience fishing as a wholesome and rewarding activity.

The Fluke tournament is shaping up to be the best yet, be sure to get your application in soon.
