President is Sick

(from Jersey Coast Anglers Association April 1994 Newsletter)

JCAA President, Paul Smith, has been in and out of the hospital since the New Year, first with a recurring back problem and now, with more serious problems revolving around possible blocked coronary arteries. While it appears he is not in any serious danger at this point, he has been in Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune for almost a week dealing with a battery of tests and predictions. His prognosis is good and he should be home by the time you read this Newsletter.

We all wish Paul a speedy recovery and want him to know we are praying for him. He has been a vital part of JCAA's expansion in the past few years and, as a second term president, is needed more than ever. We  hope that all member clubs will drop him a card or note with their good wishes or call him to help cheer him up. Paul's home mailing address is: 917 Atlantic Avenue, Pt. Pleasant, NJ 08742 (phone 908-899-2681). His wife, Eileen, and daughters, Kelly and Cathy, appreciate your concerns and thank those friends and association members who have already called, for helping Paul maintain a "stiff upper lip."
