Issues that JCAA was Involved With in 2004
(from Jersey Coast Anglers Association January 2005 Newsletter)
During the course of 2004, JCAA members attended and participated in a couple of hundred meetings and seminars on many issues relating to the environment, habitat and fishery management. We also communicate with and ally ourselves with many interested groups in voicing the opinion of JCAA and the New Jersey saltwater angler on many vital and crucial issues. On the surface many of these issues do not seem to be pertinent to our saltwater fishery. However, when these issues are examined and fully explored, there is always an underlying issue of great importance to the health of the environment and the resources with which we as fishermen are concerned. These issues and many more, represent an ongoing challenge for JCAA. We are always looking for friends of JCAA to get involved with JCAA in attending some of these meetings and seminars on behalf of JCAA. If you are interested in working for JCAA in any capacity, please contact the JCAA office.
