The Jersey Coast Anglers Association will be hosting its annual “Sportsperson-of-the-Year” awards dinner/dance as a fundraiser on November 9, 2003 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the Crystal Point Yacht Club, RT. 70 & River Rd, Point Pleasant, NJ. We will honor this year’s and past years' recipients of our “Sportsperson-of-the-Year” award. Past honorees include legislators, environmental leaders, outdoor writers and other worthy recipients.
Individual tickets are $60 each and tables of 10 are $500, which is a $100 savings. This gala event will accommodate 300 supporters and friends for a semi-formal sit-down dinner with choice of entrees and cash bar. So get a group together from your club or organization and come to the dinner/dance and have a great time. Enjoy an excellent three-course meal, Door Prizes and a DJ. Share stories of fishing and bid on one of the many fantastic theme baskets on display.
Last year a number of clubs subsidized the cost of the tickets for their members. Some clubs paid for an entire table of ten, while other clubs paid for half the cost of a table of ten. One club paid $10.00 towards each ticket for their club members to attend. So whatever way you do it, I would urge all clubs to buy a table of ten and help support the JCAA.

I will be handling donations. If you have anything to donate for a door prize, for the silent auction or Chinese Auction, please contact me at (609) 597-3193. We especially need prizes for the ladies. The ladies like to bid on items too and receive door prizes, so let’s not forget them and see if we can get together a number of prizes this year to accommodate them. Last year we had quite a few prizes for the ladies and I would like to do the same this year.
