ASMFC Meeting Week Nov 18 - 21 Williamsburg, VA

The ASMFC will be meeting at the Williamsburg Lodge, 310 South England Street, (757) 229-1000. The date for the Striped Bass Board is Tuesday from 2:00 – 5:00 and the Weakfish Board meets on Wednesday from 2:30-6:30. The entire schedule of the meeting and registration information can be obtained by calling 202-264-8600 or by going to the ASMFC webpage at http://www.asmfc.org/. I will bring to these meetings the information I gained at the public hearings in New Jersey on both the Weakfish Amendment 4 and the Striped Bass Amendment 6. As a commissioner to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, I will be making my recommendations to the Governor after these meetings. If the weakfish plan is passed as proposed, I will recommend that Governor McGreevey take strong action against the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission. We will need to wait and see.
